Signature Forum is Spamming Google Maps

If I was one of Signature Forums referral clients I’d be pissed.

Signature Forum (aka SignatureForum) is a company which sells leads to various industries including plastic surgery from which these examples come.

Google’s new maps implementation is notoriously easy to spam by faking an address in the mapping system’s geographic center of town.

In these examples below you’ll see exactly how they’re placed.  I have one recommendation for any company advertising with these unethical bozos: Fire Signature Forum now. They’re stealing what’s yours and selling it back to you at a premium

So, why is this so bad.  Well, first off they’re lying.  They don’t have a location at 2020 Pennsylvania Avenue.  Second, they’re in the business of selling leads to local plastic surgeons.  By spamming Google maps in this way they assure no one else will appear for those phrases.

Now, as we know it’s about means, motive and opportunity and unfortunately these spammers aren’t responsible for the opportunity.  Google is.  If Google would exercise some better spam control on maps we wouldn’t have to worry about this crap.
